The story of how Carlos came to BlackRidge is one of Love at First Sight. I first saw Carlos at the GSDCC Nationals. He was newly imported to Canada, and I fell in Love.
Fast forward 2 years later. Carlos was offered and we put our application in. While talking with Debbie I realized that Carlos was the same black I had fallen in love with at the Nationals.
In the 40 years I have bred dogs, there have only been 2 males I loved enough to bring home. Working kennel breeders have sang his praises. Show breeders have commented on his beauty. Here at BlackRidge he is my companion and my mobility service dog.
Temperament
Carlos has a solid temperament in hotels, the woods, train stations, and at the training center.
Hiking
Back Woods Hiking and climbing the bluffs along Georgian Bay. Carlos was my continual buddy, and on the way home he alerted that I was 30′ off the trail. He never once spooked, shied, or ‘tuned out’ over the 3 days.
